We live as long as we fly

The Everyday Grind

I spent half the day today messing around with the breaker box. It's a simple job, but it eats up a monstrous amount of time. If you don't have a wiring diagram, or don't think the work through — you're screwed. The aftermath of the renovation and other unfinished work in the apartment turned out to be terrifyingly huge. I don't even have a faint outline of a horizon for when I'll finish off this monster. You might laugh, but I feel like giving up. Over two weekends I've reached the following unprecedented heights.

  1. Hooked up the wires in the breaker box (not even all of them, although the most important ones). enter image description here
  2. Hung a temporary shelf for dry goods above the kitchen counter. enter image description here
  3. Hung and set up the Xiaomi Wi-Fi lamps. enter image description here
  4. Shoveled the junk from all the rooms into one. I resisted for a long time, but the classic idea of "let's turn the spare room into a storage room" proved stronger than me.

I also tinkered around with the blog a bit, hoping to improve the pipeline for creating and publishing posts. I have a better idea of what I want now, but it'll be a long road getting there.
